Well, you asked for it. And I've delivered.
I think this is be rock bottom for me to tell you the truth.
I have nothing to shill, no links to post, nothing.
"The CG Blog."
Not even a ring to it. I'm really falling off here. But like I've always done, and will continue to do, I'm getting back up. Gab really needs to give me a way to post long-form gabs without looking like a schizophrenic retard boomer.
Maybe my insight can save some of you. I doubt it.
I'm in a pretty bad mood to be honest. I've been playing this modded Minecraft map (bedrock edition, serious gamer) and after putting 20+ hours into it, I realized that the map is fundamentally broken in a way that I legit can't remedy.
So the map is this super-flat world but with custom structures plus additional crafting recipes to make more resources obtainable. If you know the Minecraft tech-tree, you probably know that the only way to get villagers without gold ore or the nether is by first crafting golden apples the gold dropped by zombie pigmen, which you access by getting lightning to strike pigs in the overworld. For whatever reason, the pigmen created on this map not only drop no gold, but also appear to be completely broken, lacking basic features like aggression and the ability to trade gold ingots for items.
I sat there gabbing for like 2hrs today waiting for a thunderstorm and when it finally comes, I'm left with a horde of useless mobs and no way to proceed in the map unless I want to grind for the 16 gold ingots required to make 2 golden apples to cure two zombie villagers by smelting down the very rare armor / golden sword drops from zombies and skeletons.
Now that I wrote this out this actually sounds like a decent plan tbh. Yeah, I'm thinking we're back.
Minecraft really invigorates that Faustian spirit within me even when it's jewing me over.
